 There is a reason why our premium kukui nut lei necklaces and koa wood necklaces cost a little more: Well crafted Quality! These Hawaiian leis are strung in Hawai`i by our kukui Lei Kumu (Lei Master), not factory assembled outside of Hawai`i.
 We use the finest kukui nut lei materials available. These are top of the line (we do not use satin ribbons or yarn to string them!). A hand tied knot is between each kukui nut or bead making sure the drill hole does not exceed the size of the ribbon knot. This prevents damage to adjacent kukui nuts or koa beads. Real kukui nuts are not perfect and it is this quality that make them so unique and beautiful. NOTE: If your kukui nut lei is very shiny and are identically shaped, chances are they might be plastic. We do not sell plastic kukui lei necklaces!
